El Buffalo AirStation 125* High Speed Mode™ Secure Remote Gateway combina la capacidad de crear túneles VPN con el sistema patentado AOSS (AirStation One- Touch Secure System™) de Buffalo Technology. "Secure Remote Gateway" incorpora la función PPTP Servidor/Cliente. PPTP es el protocolo usado para hacer un túnel punto a punto, muy usado en productos basados en Virtual Private Network (VPN). Microsoft Windows suporta conexiones como cliente PPTP sin ningún software adicional. Después de establecer la conexión PPTP usted podrá ver y compartir ficheros de un PC o del LInkStation de la forma más segura. Además, gracias a la capacidad Wake ON LAN, usted puede controlar (encender y apagar) sus ordenadores de forma remota desde cualquier lugar y en cualquier momento. Cuando usted necesite guardar algún archivo en el ordenador usted puede encender el ordenador con WOL y hacer la transferencia de forma segura compartiendo archivos.
